Retention Policy
Web Buster UK Ltd will process personal data during the duration of any contract and continue to do so as each contract auto-renews to prevent loss of service. Web Buster UK Ltd will continue to store only the personal data needed for five years while a contract is valid and 6 months after the contract has expired to meet any legal obligations. After five years any personal data needed will need to be downloaded by the school.
Data Storage
Data is held in the United Kingdom using different (multiple) servers. Web Buster UK Ltd does not store personal data outside the EEA.
We can hold data for up to 6 months after a school leaves, although access is disabled within days of expiry unless arrangements have been made. This gives time for schools to contact us to request any coursework or grade data they have forgotten and need urgently.
We reserve the right to begin removal of the data after 21 days of a school leaving us, which means there are no guarantees of recovery after this point. 21 days has been selected as many schools have 2-week holidays and 14 days may not be enough to rescue data. Once data has been removed from the main server it may be present on several backup servers for some time. As each backup is replaced the chances of recovery become slimmer. We usually charge a FEE to recover data.
For security, data is also held in several backups to help guard against any data loss.

- Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
- Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.

- Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing.
